WIKI-KITS: CHELSEA ADIDAS HOME KIT 2012-2013

Eagle eyed website visitors have spotted that this design was doing the rounds at the end of January, two trains of thought on this one, the first that this is the design and whoever created the design had seen the kit and the second is that this is a well crafted fake, based on that design. If that is the case whether somebody has actually physically created this kit or if it is just an excellent photoshop, we don’t know. You’ll have to make your own mind up on whether you’ll see Chelsea in this kit next year.

Here is what looks like Chelsea’s home shirt for next season. What you instantly notice is that there is quite a bit of red on it again, which as a couple of seasons ago won’t be to all Chelsea fans tastes. The shirt looks to have the same diagonal stripes as as Germany’s home kit for Euro 2012 and the same type of collar. Aside from those stripes and the collar it does look a lot like the 10/11 Chelsea home kit, what may be more interesting is the away and third designs adidas end up creating for the Pensioners.

Chelsea 2012/13 Kit

Red isn’t uncommon on Chelsea shirts nowadays, it first appeared on the shirt in 1981 and was on the socks of the Chelsea kit in 1959, a nod to the Pensioners who’d sit in the stands of Stamford Bridge wearing their red jackets. There was even a red lion in the club’s crest in 1953. Red must be the colour of the day, if you haven’t already take a look at England’s Euro 2012 kit.
How many of this year’s Chelsea players will feature in the new shirt next season is yet to be known as Andre Villas Boas trys to make headway in his changes for the club, that is if he can keep his job until next season as well!
